Florida could be looking at a tough season. They are 3-3 now. If they lose to UGA and us they could be looking at a 5 loss season...and if they loss to Florida state they would be a 6 loss team. They’re OOC game was canceled so they could easily be 5-6 and Not go bowling..so our game against Florida could be just for bowl eligibility for Florida...if they lose 5 or even six is McElwain fired? I’ve heard Dan Mullen’s name pop up some for next UF coach.

won the SEC East in 2015 & 2016

You talking about the guy with the last 2 east titles ? lol
Yeah just wondering thoughts...they were titles but then embarrassed in the SECCG. Just wondering peoples thoughts if they were to lose 5 or more games...big expectations in Florida and their program seems to not be taking any steps forward.

I don't want see Dan Mullen at either UT or UF. He's been putting together offenses that can move the ball against SEC defenses since 2005. There's no else in the conference right now anywhere close to that kind of track record.

Dan Mullen will eventually move on to a higher profile SEC gig.

Trouble brewing and fans stewing with a number of programs.

Hope he stays in the SECW.

ridiculous to talk about Florida firing McElwain regardless how season plays out.. the AD just gave him a extension and raise last year, he's not going to turn around and fire him

This is the "Pawl" Finebaum deep South we live in now. If a coach has success and has 1 bad season, he is on the hot seat.

Which all means he'll probably be our head coach sometime in the future.

finebaum show is sometimes amusing but this year it seems to consist of whos getting fired and when....some of the "expert' guests are pathetic and thrive on rumors. its becoming a gossip show

Yes, it's all gossip now. And adding Laura Rutledge is another step in the feminization of the show. The show really needs to return to the basics: talking about the actual games.

How else do you fill 4 hours of babble?

If he gets fired, and wants to take break from football, I know what show he can go to

I am truly beginning to believe that McElwain will be coaching at Oregon State next year. Doesn't seem that UF and he are getting along too well right now. He doesn't seem to handle the pressure of coaching at UF well (not sure many could) and they want a "Spurrier"-success type coach when he came in and changed the manner in which the SEC played football....that will be hard to find.

Florida wants to win SEC and national titles. McElwain is decent, but not great. Do they actually believe he will win the SEC or a national title like Meyer and Spurrier? They probably will not let him go this year, but another poor showing and he will probably be on the way out.

true, he won the east with champs players...what is he doing with his?

I don’t believe UF will fire him but the fans will be loud and obnoxious. It’s all about trends and UF is trending down with his players becoming more and more the majority of the team.
