before reality steps in instead of fantasy when the football season begins. Clemson as always is very overrated and we this year I really believe are the sleeper in the SEC. Also can't wait for our Gamecock Plaza renovations , big George's stature and the indoor practice facility to be finished. Was by there last Tuesday and it really is starting to look impressive, much more than a tin building like Clemson's. With the football team back on track and some of the most impressive facilities in college football, with the great pub both basketball teams will bring to our school on a national level, by February our recruiting class will be very solid. Great to be a Gamecock.

I agree with you. I am anxious to see how this year plays out. Can't wait for kickoff!
Explain to me if you can how Clemson is over rated and USC is the sleeper in the SEC? Yes, Clemson lost a lot on the defensive side of the ball. But USC also lost a lot on the offense side of the ball.

Ok catch and release. Start with the Clemson lack of an offensive line. Lost all but one undersized center (285lbs) and not very strong. This bunch coming in couldn't beat out the sorry bunch from last year. Most important position on a team are the tackles and Clemson has neither. Qb must stay healthy with no pass protection which will take away deep threat except vs teams like Wake Forrest. As with most Sweeney teams, no power running game to balance the offense. Lost entire defensive line with no one as good coming in to replace. Linebackers will be a weak point with no starters returning. Secondary will be spotty. Lost field goal kicker to drugs although ole Dabo is going to do his best to reinstate him in a Christian manner. I can go on but this is enough for one to believe the pre season hype must have been dreamed up by someone's hairdresser.

Why did you single out my post?

Sounds like someone deep down is worried about this season?!?!?

This post deserves a big ole LOL...

Say what you will if it makes you feel better but you obviously have never laid eyes on the Clemson indoor facility. Tin building. Right.

Actually, if you compared postseason vs preseason rankings for Clemson the last 3 years, I think you would find them pretty darn accurate.

USC last year, however, WAS hugely overrated (although not to me, because I predo the fall pretty accurately).

Once again, the negative which you TRY to apply to Clemson really applies to USC.

Ok Tater boys, lets just wait until mid season and we will have this discussion again.
