Why all the Gregg Marshall hate. If he were our coach, we'd all love him.
I don't hate him at all. It's just how there's a number of folks on here that have a gargantuan obsession with him.
Frank Martin is our head basketball coach & I support him 100%.
I don't think it's hate. I think it's frustration. Some folks on here can't get over the fact that we hired Darrin Horn instead of Marshall. And then didn't try to woo him back to SC when we hired FM.
So the frustration comes from those on here who continue to say "look at what Marshall is doing! Isn't he great! We sure missed on hiring him!"
Marshall's not here and not coming here. We need to get over it.
Monte Lee should be dead to all Gamecock fans. Once you put on that ugly orange, there is no coming back from that.
You shouldn't feel that way. We should love our orange brethren in the upstate. Not!
So what all the GM loons see is, "He's free to come here now that his season is over."
I love and support Martin too. Marshall should have been our basketball coach the same as Monty Lee should have been our baseball coach. Now the two of them win games for other schools. I can understand the argument not to hire Marshall, but the hiring of Holbrook over Lee was always a head scratcher for me.
there's definitely a few Dean Smiths, Bobby Knights and John Woodens,... and dont forget the Knute Rockne's and Sparky Anderson's,
And to think there are folks who complain about Carolina's sideline traditions. I'll keep Sandstorm if you keep, uh, this guy and his bell.
