Hello all and welcome to Founders Park for the final regular season series of the year. Baseball in Columbia is coming to a quick end with the likelihood of no postseason regional being held here like last year.

Gamecocks (31-21, 12-15 SEC) just finished up their BP session and Georgia going through its session now. Something weird of note: there's a Georgia coach screaming instructions at players through a bullhorn in between groups.

Georgia (9-18 SEC) comes into this series on fire playing a lot better as of late. They beat two of the top teams in the SEC, Kentucky and Mississippi State, in back to back weeks. As with Georgia, they hang their hat on hitting and about nothing else.

I noted in a few stories this week that this series has absolutely massive implications not only for the SEC Tournament seeing but for South Carolina making the postseason. A loss could mean the Gamecocks miss the postseason for the second time in three years. Full stories here and here.

Gamecocks give the ball to their ace Wil Crowe, who's carrying the team on his back the rest of the way.

No lineups as of yet, but I would expect something similar to what was put out there Tuesday against USC Upstate.

TV for tonight's game is SEC Network Plus and on 107.5 FM. As always, we'll have absolute wall-to-wall coverage from tonight's game.

Let's go have some fun.
