Hello all and welcome into one of the best times of year: basketball season. Hoops officially starting up here at the CLA and I'll be here to take you through all the fun and happenings as the Gamecocks take on USC Upstate in the first game that counts this season.
Gamecocks starting the season thin with four Alanzo Frink (knee), TJ Moss (foot) and walk-no Nathan Nelson (illness) all out with injuries tonight and Jermaine Cousinard not playing tonight with a pending academic issue.
Graduate transfer Tre Campbell is battling that ankle injury but is healthy and expected to play. One of USC Upstate's best players, Deion Holmes, is out tonight with a hand injury.
Team getting warm now during shootaround with Chuck Martin leading things on the court.
