They were finalizing deal. That’s way past interview. Must have not been able to come to an agreement.
Heard the 'Get-Back' coach is staying too. I guess OU didn't need or want the theatrics or ridiculousness of that situation.

I just now read an article to this effect in the Charlottesville newspaper's website. UVA hasn't got its plan and financing together to build a state-of-the-art football facility. They are said to lag even other ACC schools in this regard. This deficit might be hindering their search. I was able to read the article by simply closing the registration prompt.

Everyone saw that D Watson and T Lawrence had a lot to do with those offensive teams more than Elliott after this season. He isn't on any high profile team's list anymore. He probably has to realign his vision and what he should expect to get offered now. Not just money, but the facilities and backing by the school and donors.
