MBB: UGA just beat Bama!!

Yeah I watched most of the 2nd half, not a pretty game but Bama kept putting UGA on the line - exactly what they wanted. I think UGA missed 2 out of about 20 2nd half free throws.
Bama forcing everything on offense, couldn’t hit open 3s.

Bama lives and dies by the 3. No true offense there other than heave it up. They’ve beat Gonzaga, Miami, LSU, Houston. They’ve lost to Davidson, Iona, Memphis, Miss St and Georgia.
You are bringing back memories. As a young boy, I used to go to Johnston Gymnasium to watch Snyder, Hetzel, Moser, Malloy, Kirley, Huckell, Adrian, etc.. And then played against John Gerdy once in the late 70s. Gerdy would shoot a lot of shots from the old time line, the hash mark way out there. And make ‘em.
I got to see the Hetzel, Davidson, Snyder, Teague team when I was living in Georgetown as a teenager. Went over with the high school basketball team (I wasn't on the team) to watch Davidson play the Citadel. I believe they won 100-81.
The old Southern Conference was like the ACC in that you had to win the conference tournament to become conference champion. And only conference champions went to the NCAA tournament. Davidson got knocked out by West Virginia on more than one occasion. Still, what Lefty Driesell did there was unbelievable.
I love Lefty. He made a great HOF speech. Lost track of his son, Chuck, when he left The Citadel. Great times at Davidson.
Since I've lived in the TriCities area for over 25 years, I've come to enjoy Southern Conference Basketball..It does help that ETSU has generally been very good in the conference along with Furman and Wofford...
I grew up on ACC basketball but have somewhat lost interest since we joined the SEC and the ACC added teams in the northeast that I have absolutely no desire to follow....
I just watch SEC and Southern Conference basketball now....
I do love evening games during the week at Freedom Hall in Johnson City when Wofford, Greensboro, Furman come to town...
My fav sporting event for basketball is the Southern Conference Tournament in Asheville....
