FK'n' Fat Frank is 5-8 at UMass this year. He was certainly NOT a Clean Coach in HS in So. Fla. His FFF nickname WAS NOT derived from his physical appearance. One thing to keep in mind regarding Paris: As Head Coach at Chattanooga, his teams improved from year to year to year. That string might very well break this year. But, that does not mean we won't finish strong.
Are you reading something in my post to be down on Paris? If you are, you are misinterpreting.FK'n' Fat Frank is 5-8 at UMass this year. He was certainly NOT a Clean Coach in HS in So. Fla. His FFF nickname WAS NOT derived from his physical appearance.
Give Paris a chance. Afterall y'all accepted a verbal abuser for Ten "FFF" Years!
NO! No! no! .... I'm on YOUR SIDE 100%. I think we got a Keeper. Are you reading something in my post to be down on Paris? If you are, you are misinterpreting.
Retaining GOOD players, a good coach makes players better. That is the reason you even have coaches. They are NOT just supposed to manage a game!Being a good coach is about player retention and building a team this year. Next year will always be a rebuild with NIL here.

Other than High school ball and successful gamecock sports im done. Didn’t watch last 3 playoffs/championship games. The lack of retention turns me off to the over pampered, over hyped, sports Brats that 90% are. (BAMA has a WBB player in her 7th year of CBB and at her 4th College.)
Teams no longer build, they buy.
These are only two of the reasons why I lost interest in the NFL & NBA. LOL ... Talk'N' heads are a big part as well. Unfortunately, I already see the end of college football.
Let's go Ivy League. Screw the NFL Minor League .... (which was obviously AA at BEST, this year.) .... (AND WE AIN"T GOT THE BUCKS TO COMPETE wid da Big Dawgs!!!)
YEAH!!! The #8 team BEAT the crap outta the #7 team and y'all have the balls to call 'em National CHAMPIENS???
Yeah I got it RedNecks...... the South shall rise again!!!
Let’s go Army! Let’s go Navy! Let’s go Air Force! Let’s go Ivy League! These are only two of the reasons why I lost interest in the NFL & NBA. LOL ... Talk'N' heads are a big part as well. Unfortunately, I already see the end of college football.

Maybe Dawn can throw some NIL cash
Wow sad effort, 20 point loss to Oklahoma?? Not good!!
Perhaps, You are laughing at me .... but, I GOT IT RIGHT!!! .... the point is ,,,,, USE YOUR BRAIN .... Not the TV Polls!!!Let’s go Army! Let’s go Navy! Let’s go Air Force! Let’s go Ivy League!
Talkin’ heads in sports, talkin’ heads on the political shows, talking’ heads that know it all in everything - I hear you, brother. It’s boring.
Is it OK if I'm allowed to disagree, ... hoping to give Paris more time to develop HIS TEAM, vs what he's required to put on the floor, tonight??? I believe that we all might enjoy the future. ....................... I HOPE!!!Wow sad effort, 20 point loss to Oklahoma?? Not good!!
I'm in agreement with you COD, his first year and third year seem to be on the same level, and it's looking more and more like the second year was a fluke. I really don't understand the mindset, continuous moral victories don't count in the polls or recruiting or purchasing of players. I just hope this new AD doesn't wait until the 4th wheel falls off before pulling the plug. Martin received way too much time as coach as all 4 tires had fallen off along with the spare and the new set that was purchasedIf a WINLESS SEC schedule result is considered building and Growing, well i will disagree. My opnion is obviously not approved with by most on here, but hey, at least last night's game was another Moral Victory.. I think they have lke 5 or 6 SEC Moral victories, WELL DONE!! So if you want to BUILD, start winning.... AGAIN Go ahead and attack me for Disagreeing... You have your opinions, i have mine!
EXACTLY!!!!!! I say it is way to early to let him go, but unlike most posters on here, i dont think he is the next coming of John Wooden or Red Auerbach.... But like you said, SC cant wait as long as they did on the last coach to cut ties, UNLESS they want to continue to be bottom of SEC in this program. Maybe they are okay with "Moral Victories", if so, they are gonna have many of them to be satisfied with..I'm in agreement with you COD, his first year and third year seem to be on the same level, and it's looking more and more like the second year was a fluke. I dont see any POSTERS on here saying "FIRE HIM NOW" however, IMO you cant give him an unlimited leash because he had a "GOOD" season last year.. THEY Fired Fogler for continuing to lose in first round of Madness. Hell it doesnt look like that will be an issue..
So in your mind, PARIS has absolutely No Fault in this miserable season??They fired Fogler because they didn't get along. They would have love to have kept him otherwise.
Paris just signed a new contract, COD. That's the "leash" in very clear terms.
We have had two starters out and have been playing some of the best teams in the country.
To the coaching staff's credit, most of these games have been very tight.
Our recruiting has been around 3rd from the basement the last couple of years.
Paris needs more cash to buy talented players like these other teams - Arkansas, UK, Florida, etc.
College Basketball typically uses 7-9 players in rotation.
If you're purchasing studs and have a decent coaching staff, you'll probably travel with that recipe.
So in your mind, PARIS has absolutely No Fault in this miserable season??
Let me research and see if this team has EVER gone winless in an SEC season, or even this far into an SEC season. Ill be right back with you on that. And as you state again, IT WAS A MORAL Victory to lose by only 1 point!!Ha. Have you checked our basketball history? What are you going off COD?
What's the gold standard you hold up for all of this criticism?
I personally believe we don't have a great emsemble at the moment.
There's a talent void and it's obvious.
To spite that, we've been very competitive in games.
We lost to #5 UF by one point last night.
I said the same thing about Beamer in 2023 when we went 5-7.
We had a talent issue then too because top players went to the portal.
Paris lost the leadership pieces from this team last season.
If the AD starts paying for players and we get in the upper half of recruiting and the team flounders, then I would jump on your bandwagon.
If you're only dealing with a small handful of players and that handful of players wasn't believed to be as good as the handful of players the other team you're playing bought, isn't it logical there's a good chance you aren't going to be able to make up that difference with Xs and Os in most games?

I love Pinatas, thank you..... And again wiith the MORAL victories.. Like i said, I am very disappointed with the Team So far, and I am just saying, DONT give him (Paris) an unlimited leash like you did Martin (because of one Flash in pan year). IMO it is a lot of blame that goes on the Coaching staff when you are losing like you are.. AND SO FAR they are WINLESS... and to be honest, not looking good for getting many more chances ar SEC wins.. Maybe against Arky in March or Georgis next week. So i am Guessing you are happy with a 2 win SEC conference season team?? As long as you like the coach??Gone winless?
You're going to need to wait another 12 games to determine that.
We've only played one-third of our SEC schedule.
All of the games we've played have been against teams who would be in the NCAA tournament if it started today.
Of those six games played, three have been top 5 teams and lost to two of them in heart-beakers.
We've had to starters injured as well.
We need to get you a Pinata.

First off, I didnt say YOU gave him (martin) a leash, I think SOUTH CAROLINA gave him too long of a leash. And unfortunatley, Paris picks his talent, If he has none, so that is MY PRBLEM?? Either way, I will quit arguiing with you on this... In your opinion the program is in good hands and you are okay with them losing these games. IMO i am not okay with all the losses piling up. Is it in Good hands?? that is yet to be determined. I never even HINTED at getting rid of the coach, but i am thoroughly disappointed with the season so far. I hope he turns it around and has at least a .500 record, it just doesnt seem to be headed in that direction. So I am DONE with arguing with you back and forth.. have a great Weekend, Gonna be warmer.. We are hitting Edgewater Sunday, gonna be wet, but I have cabin fever!Ha. Why do you believe I gave Martin an unlimited leash Now you're just making crap up.
Look - Head over to ON3. There's a good discussion about the team over there.
The guys who either played and/or coach basketball are also stating that the coaching looks fine and we have a talent issue.
The players are in place. The ball is moving. There just aren't hitting shots with consistency and they are also turning it over too much.
We're probably not going to win alot of games this year because we don't have the horses.
Last season, Paris and his staff took a bunch of guys who had no business winning 26 games and won 26 games.
This year, the team chemistry is not there as much because we lost many key players which has previously been touched on.
If you are interested consistent performance year-to-year from our basketball teams, you need cash money to buy high quality players like some of these other teams I've listed.

Whatever...... I knew the YOU PERSONALLY didnt give him the LONG LEASH, i was pretty sure you wernt paying his salary.... WOW, I cant even respond! You said in your last post word-for-word: "Like i said, I am very disappointed with the Team So far, and I am just saying, DONT give him (Paris) an unlimited leash like you did Martin..."
Are you in the Bourbon with Southern Fried Chicken?
COD - When you watch the games, what do you see? What are your complaints?
You don't want to be that guy who checks on the score, checks on the record, and then heads to FGF to simply complain with no context.
Paris doesn't have much talent on the team.
He didn't have a lot last season either - he simply overachieved with the players he had which is why he won SEC Coach of The Year.
Again, if we start buying high quality talent which is on par with some of these teams we're playing, that's a totally different story.
For now though, that's simply not the case.
The best we can hope for is random pieces of the puzzle occasionally coming together like it did last sea
