The Michigan coach appeared to try and ignore the Wisconsin Coach during the hand shake. The Wisconsin Coach appeared to have kind of grabbed the taller Michigan Coach and block his path which seemed to be what instigated the events that followed. If Michigan smacked Wisconsin right when he got grabbed then I think the smack would have been a little more warranted. But not AFTER everyone separated them.
Both Coaches were wrong at different points of the altercation. Emotions were up and tempers were heated.
I can list at least 10 examples in the last 2-3 years that indicates otherwise. Gard has no history of any issues that would lead to an immediate termination. I don’t know what kind of management experience some of you have had, but have you heard of the concept of progressive discipline? You rarely go from a position of no record to termination, I don’t care who you are. That’s why I predicted earlier in the day that Howard would be suspended for the rest of the regular season.
