From what I understand it was someone higher up the food chain at IMG (the national company that owns USC's broadcast rights) that had a problem with Morgan. McMillan was just the local GM who was told to pull the trigger (and therefore gets all the blowback). It's also my understanding that Morgan wanted to do more and more TV, so it looks like he has landed where he probably would have ended up anyway - a bigger and better deal working national broadcasts for ESPN.
Demetra got better as he went along each year, I thought.
Although most games are on TV now for the 4 big sports, I listen on the app on my phone a lot to our radio broadcasts for a lot of sports due to my work schedule. I like the one's we've got now doing USC sports on the radio.
