Draft just finished up with Rounds 3-10 today. Only three Gamecocks got picked up (Tyler Callihan, Ivan Johnson and TJ Hopkins), so I wanted to update where things stand entering the final day.
I wrote this morning things were trending in the right direction for Brennan Milone to come to school and things have continued to trend that way as Day 2 ends. He had a decently high price point and teams probably couldn't fill that on day two, especially getting into the later rounds.
As for Callihan, who was picked No. 85 overall, everything I've heard is he probably signs professionally for over his slot value, which is $710,700. Things could change, though and there's still obviously a small chance he comes to school but things are probably going in the professional direction.
Brett Thomas hasn't been picked, either, which makes sense since we reported he would likely come to school unless something crazy happened in the draft, which it hasn't so far. We'll have a nice feature on Thomas and his skill set.
Entering day three, there's a likelihood Reid Morgan, Ian Jenkins, Luke Berryhill and George Callil all get drafted, so that's something to keep an eye on. Gamecocks will also have a handful of JUCO players drafted too that should all likely make it to campus.
Berryhill should also come back to campus as well.
