Muschamp's record is 25-22, 14-16 in the SEC, 8 wins against the cupcakes. Basically 1/3 of his wins are against the Uchatts, Coastals, Chas Southerns. Losing record in the SEC. We rank near the bottom in almost every stat and have for Muschamp's tenure. If you want to compare, Spurrier was 26-19, 14-15 in the SEC. The comparisons are close. Both came from Florida---Yes, but Spurrier was a Heisman Trophy winner, a National Championship winner and resigned at Florida to pursue the NFL. Spurrier was an offensive guru. Muschamp was a defensive coordinator, head coach in waiting at Texas, jumped ship and took the Florida job where he was fired. Muschamp is probably a better recruiter, but the star players wanted to play for Spurrier. Do we continue to give Muschamp more time?? Can he turn it around in year 5???? He will not get fired this year. Will he get a proven OC?? QB coach?? The answer to these questions will be answered next year. Maybe we can win 3 more games and get in a bowl game though I highly doubt it. In my opinion, I think we will still be as frustrated as we are now at this time next year and the question will be who are we going to hire??? I hate the negativity surrounding the program but for the money that is being put into the program we should be getting a better result. I love my Gamecocks and I will cheer them on for these last 4 games and I'm hoping for 4 W's!!!! Go Cocks!!!!
