NCAA restrictions lifted per Pastides

This is thing about the NCAA ban/boycott that burned my butt. First, the NCAA has no business nosing into political issues, but mainly, who did the boycott hurt? I'll tell you. Student athletes who might have had a chance to play in a tourney in SC, and the folks (black and white) who could've used the jobs. The political fat cats, NAACP leaders, and NCAA idiots were not affected at all. Why is it the innocent are always the ones who must suffer for other people's stupidity?

Speaking of stupidity.....

The confederate flag, civil war, and slavery was self-inflicted stupidity. Blaming others for the harm that the south inflicted on itself for hundreds of years is simply that: blaming others.

We (the South) did this to ourselves. We (the South) have always done this to ourselves. There's no one to place blame for this on, but ourselves....

So by this logic the Montgomery Bus Boycott should never have happened - another cause taken up by the NCAA.

I don't think you get it. Obviously someone cares enough about this to start a boycott. Those people might think it's more important that some kids getting to play post season games in their home state or the state their college is in. The NCAA doesn't want to be boycotted by the NAACP so it did what it had to do. If you try to "stay neutral" and not do anything that it means you accept the status quo to activists. It's just the way it is.

Please read factual history before making comments as though everyone is a history teacher. Assumptions work wonders on public thought.

I heard on the Upstate news, that Greenville was looking into perhaps hosting the SEC women's tournament. I think I heard that correctly.

Consider the fact that the Civil War ended 150 years ago. lol

Did a NCAA ban come down on Georgia. Alabama or Mississippi ?
