I’m interested, just not a believer. I’d settle for first team SEC. That would indicate a pretty good year for us.
I just hope he stops over throwing rec by 10 ft. I also hope we get the backup in some meaningful minutes
Sorry, but he's only an average QB.
Has a Pro velocity arm. Needs work on touch pass. Needs a lot of work on looking off defenders and needs to keep his confidence level up when we play against upper level D Lines. A better O line would also help. If our staff can get improvement in those areas, he can be in top 2 or 3 in conference and that, in my opinion, would be a big plus and give us a O to make D coordinators stay up at nights.
I’ll just settle for just being decent and not throwing dumb picks or airmailing open receivers by 10 feet . If he just does that we will be a good shape .

Your Jake ain't much better, frankly. Did have a better cast around him, though.
Jake was a sophomore.. If you don't understand that he is well ahead of the curve for his age, you need to watch more games... If you judge vs seniors, yes he is average
Didn’t Tebow , Manziel , and Winston all win the heisman as Soph’s. Actually weren’t Johnny and Jamesis freshman ?? I think Jake can be really good but it seems he regressed significantly this year . He didn’t have much to work with this year after Deebo went down in all honesty so I think next year we will truly see if he’s the man .
We really need to stop using the age excuse with Jake, it was poor excuse by mid season last year.
Everyone knows I'm a huge fan of Jake's but I seriously thought you were going to say DEEBO. If he stays healthy then he actually has a chance based on what I saw in 2 & 1/2 games last season. He is a flat out beast.

True but we also signed a little, Swift is elite, and we are deep at rb. The leadership they brought to the table, especially from Sony, is going to be hard to replace.
Yes Sir but Fromm is beyond that. He's watching film right now before church. Most freshman don't win in South Bend, Atlanta (SECCG), and Pasadena. I don't think he'll take a step back.

Jake doesn't need anyone making excuses for him.. Comparing him to Heisman winners and calling him average defies logic... He led the team to 9-4 season.. The very same posters ripping him claimed we'd be lucky to win 7... The be on this forum gets stifling at times...

...under a first time OC, so-so OL and no blue chip running back to open up the passing game???...With significant improvement in fundamentals, OL play and play calling I could see All SEC, but Heisman?? We would need to go to CFP for that to happen because Pro Style QB aren't sexy enough unless they win a ton of games.

Nobody ever said anything about Sony getting hurt. 4th qtr Sony averaging 7 ypc. Chubb averaging 1ypc. Coaches kept going to Chubb. Big mistake.
I didn't say it was announced. Inside word was he got dinged but I also said I wasn't certain (that it was true). We'll be back soon.
