- Rick Sandidge said playing against UGA that early as a true freshman last year was “not fair”, as Muschamp has said, but that signed up to play in the SEC.

- He feels his performance against Florida and Akron, to name a couple, was not as good as he wanted last season.

- Sandidge has learned a lot from senior Kobe Smith. That was his roommate and Smith showed him the ropes last year.

- This spring he’s worked on his flexibility, pad level, and strength. He’s gained a connection with John Scott Jr. and learned a lot from him.

- Jabari Ellis says he feels like he’s made some big strides this offseason. Muschamp talked to him around midseason last year and reassured him that even if he redshirted that he was going to be a good player at South Carolina.

- Ellis says he’s improved a lot in the weight room. Feels a lot stronger and says he can hold up inside a lot better.

- Ellis says he’s moving around a lot this spring, playing some inside and some outside.

- Being on scout team last year was actually a good thing for him, Ellis says, because he had to go against the first team OL all the time in practice. Facing Zack Bailey and Dennis Daley helped make him better.

- Sherrod Greene also spoke. He said that some issues last season were tackling and playing with confidence. He’s working on trusting his abilities this spring. Last season was more of a learning curve for him learning the pass coverage concepts.

- Greene said the defense is having more fun and that there is a lot more chemistry now.

- Ernest Jones has been playing good ball, Greene said. He missed a lot of time with injury, Greene reminds.

- Greene said that playing the run better is about paying attention to looks, finishing plays, and playing with better technique.
