If Texas, UGA and Tenn get in, who's the 4th SEC team to get in (with 3 losses)? Between us, Ole Miss, Bama and A&M. A&M is only team in that group with 2 conference losses so need UT to beat them. We have to beat Clemson obviously.

I think it's factored in. Along with conference losses-which A&M still has 2 technically.

To make the College Football Playoff, South Carolina football needed to win and have chaos reign supreme. So far, so good for the Gamecocks.
A shot at the playoffs would be great but I have very little faith the committee will give us that shot. Just feel the committee will look elsewhere rather than a three loss SEC team if they get a chance. To be honest tho, I'm not sure clemson has that big of a shot either but they do likely have a slightly better chance than us. That said, I'm content knowing we have a chance to say we knocked them out of the playoff picture... yep, if nothing else, I can live with that.
I believe there's a very decent chance we'll see at least one 3-loss SEC team in the playoffs.
Two-loss A&M has Texas on their plate this weekend, while two-loss UT plays at Vandy.
Also, with the inclusion of the two best teams from the former Big 12 in Texas & Oklahoma, the SEC actually has a case for a 5th team in the playoffs.
We'll see though. We still have to beat Clemson at Clemson which will not be easy.
They've opened up as a 3-point favorite in that game.

A&M has 3 losses overall but 2 SEC losses which maybe you meant. Guess we're rooting for Texas and Auburn next weekend to knock them and Bama out of contention. Ole Miss isn't losing to Miss State.
Ah. Good call. I was fixated on the SEC Standing and didn't consider they lost out of conference.
The SEC currently has 5 teams in the Top 10 of the Power Rankings.
It would be hard to imagine a scenario where the playoff committee would limit the SEC to three teams.
We need to beat Clemson.
Vandy needs to cap off their strong season with a win at home versus UT.
A&M needs find a way to rebound and beat Texas.
That's probably our best setup from strictly an SEC perspective going into the weekend.
Perhaps, we will see. The way I see it is one automatic team each from the P4s plus Boise and ND. That leaves six. We have an unusual number of Big 10 teams in the top ten this year. Lets say they take two of those remaining spots for argument sake, that's now four spots left. I could see the ACC getting one more. That leaves the SEC with possibly three more for a total of four. Yeah there is a chance a three loss SEC team could make it in. What I question is would the committee try to avoid it? IMO, yes they would. Now it worked in our favor that the BIG 12 lost games down the stretch but we still have the issue of so many BIG 10 teams ranked. Perhaps its just me but I could see them taking a total of 4 Big 10s, 1 Big 12, 3 SEC, Boise, ND and 2 ACC teams even if we beat clemson.
They know there is the SEC and everyone else most years. My point is if they can negate that when they can, they will imo. We have such a year this year. I will be shocked if we get four in and would take back everything bad I have ever said about the committee in the past if we were to get five.

Wow clemson gained 5 spots for beating The Citadel while we gain 3 beating Wofford... go figure.
Yep, was gonna mention that. They're #12 now. They had to make a point to keep Bama and Ole Miss above us. And Arizona State jumps us by beating BYU.
Would argue the Arizona State. Can't argue them keeping the teams that beat us above us. Jmo

This ON3 guy (not on the committee obviously) has us at #12 in playoff poll. Starts talking about us at 2 minute mark. If we beat Clemson we would have beaten 4 ranked teams-not 3 like he says.
