One of the worst officiated games I've ever watched.

The two blocked shots in the first half, two missed walks on UT, horrible no calls on our shooters in the first half, and the call against Mitchell in the first half.

They literally kept UT in the game in the first half, and we almost gave it to them at the end. That was a rough game to watch, but I'm ecstatic that we won.

It'll be a while before I can go to bed. I'm wired.

I'm with you Beck. It was if the refs had never seen a blocked shot before....we had our first 3 blocks all called fouls. I really thought they were going to T-up Dawn one time.
Glad this one is behind us....that was pretty much a war tonight...upper classmen pulled us through.

Even the announcers said the officials made several bad calls against us, epecially during the 1st half.

As a basketball official, myself and my partners have a bad game every once in a while. With that being said, tonight was pathetic and an evaluation should be done by the SEC. No one on the crew tonight should be allowed to call a meaningful game again this year.

Yeah it was poorly officiated, for sure. Not good at all.

Even TV announcers seemed to disagree with some of the calls.

The guys in stripes were simply following their instincts. After . . .

the game was over you could spot the coonskin caps hanging out of their hip pockets as they headed to their orange cars with Tennersee tags - and Knox County tabs.

All three officials were terrible, although the older male seemed to miss fewer calls on both sides. The female ref was horrible. The refs kept Tennessee in the game.

ESPN is so annoying with those two women they had on. They kept throwing the 25 point loss into the conversation on at least four occasions, then agreed with each other that Carolina is not a top four team, but Notre Dame is (of course) Then they keep misspelling Aja Wilsons's name (Asia). Could they be any more uninformed if they tried. Then the announcers have to tell us ten times that Tennessee leads the overall series by some obscene number. Muting ESPN is a must.

A question for those with more basketball knowledge than I. Why was a lane violation not called on that free throw where the UT shooter threw a weird hitch into her motion and all the girls stumbled over each other into the lane?

The UT player was at the free throw line, the USC players had the lane violation so the shooter would get another chance if she missed it. Since the UT player did not miss, there was no reason to call a lane violation.

Who was our player (center?) who used to rock back and forth a few times before shooting his free throws? Drew a lot of lane violations until the league made him change his form. Graziano maybe?

Mike Brittain. Hit some huge free throws to hold of Clemson. Had a nice touch for a big man.

Remember, Rebecca Lobo played for UConn and the other girl played for Tennessee I think, so they are going to very biased.

Unfortunately we have to w pect the very bad officiating and the poor announcing when we play UT in women's basketball. NOT fair but expected.
