OT: Belichick to UNC

Because bill has a 400 page plan that includes nutrition, and teaching them proper technique.

Belichick has zero to prove. Zero. This will only stand to tarnish his legacy, not improve it. This is just like Spurrier going to the nfl. I wish him well but don't see this being a good decision.

Worse than a ten year deal
A three year deal
And $10 million a year
And he wants to pick his successor
Hmm… his son

He's never been successful without Brady. He definitely won't find that talent in college. I think this is terrible for UNC. I only care that it will sway some potential recruits. I'm sure I can write a 400 page manifest on how I would manage a football team.

So BB has UNC increasing UNCs NIL budget from 5M to 20M. Does anyone know how this compares?

Georgia / Texas / Alabama are in the 20 to 25 million range

But they are doubling the salary from Mack Brown to Belly Ache.

That is some deep pockets, do they run dry? Did Mack Brown have a buyout also?

And his so. The D Coor didn’t play college football he played Lacrosse, hmmm

reading a little about him and I don't know much but he seems well liked at Washington. So, he might be a good choice for UNC.

I don't think it matters what he did in college at this point. He's got years of NFL experience.

Dick Sheridan was a good college coach and never played college ball.

This is UNC's second stab at using an old brand name to try to attract attention/recruits.

The issue is that we're now in a era where you need to pay recruits.

UNC probably has enough capital to pay Belichick a bloated sum and still pay recruits.

However, as mentioned above, Belichick hasn't done much outside of the Brady era.

Will see if that hook stands the test of time.

The man knows football, Brady or not. Any coach in the NFL will tell you that. UNC has been treading water for decades. They needed to make a big splash. But they sold the farm to get him.

Even UNC admits it is a risky investment

From WRAL

“It’s a risk,” UNC athletics director Bubba Cunningham said after Thursday’s press conference introducing Belichick. “We’re taking a risk that we’re investing more in football with the hope and ambition that……

Money in athletics has gotten out of hand.
I stand by my prediction that NIL will PARTIALLY collapse in 4 to 5 years when stary eyed booster think they can drop their spare $10 million and turn a 25th ranked team in to National Champs. When the million pocket change runs out and there is no rings.

Can you find a team in the “playoff 12” that has a recent rise due to NIL
