OT - Body found at Daniel Island (Wando River shoreline) by 12 yr old....

"The Berkeley County Coroner has confirmed that the body of 20-year-old old Jules Dickson Mappus, Jr. of Mount Pleasant was found floating in the Wando River just after 5:30pm this evening." (March 18)

Jules empty car was found at the top of the Ravenel Bridge back in late February. I know it's speculative now but if true, will this be the 1st official documented case of a suicide jump off the bridge or has there been others?

The body was found off Daniel Island shoreline by a 12 year old boy.

In case this is suicide - it's very sad (especially so young) and wish people would seek help before reaching this type of moment in their lives. I know it's emotionally, mentally, chemically complicated but seek help people. There is help out there for the depressed or distressed.

Not the first. A friend of mine jumped to her death about 7 years ago from that bridge.

I remember several years ago that someone jumped at low tide and landed in the pluff mud. That person broke about every bone in their body but survived.

I'm fishing on the Wando River about every weekend and I'm always joking to my buddy that we're going to find a body in the water. A few weeks ago, they found a body in the water at Remleys Point boat landing where we usually launch our boat.
