I've been watching the show and I was thinking how The Rifleman, Lucas McCain's 11 year-old son, Mark, would have serious PTSD.
Mark has been:
Actor Chuck Connors (Lucas) once estimated that he shot, on average, 2 1/2 persons per episode (which leads to the obvious question: "Which half?").
Bad Hombre that Lucas!
Mark has been:
- attacked by mountain lions
- bitten by rattle snakes
- thrown by horses
- trapped in an abandoned mine more that once
- kidnapped several times
- held hostage by "Indians" and Mexican banditos
- seen bad guys come to the McCain ranch numerous ranch and beat up his father
- watched his father engage in gunfights in North Fork, on numerous occasions
