Came across this on YouTube. Never heard about it before but happened 6 months before Marshall's plane crash. Sad, Sad.
OT - heard of Marshall but never Wichita State plane crash.....

I remember the WSU plane crash. I don't remember the details about it like the Marshall plane crash but I do remember the crash. Fortunately, everyone was not killed as in the Marshall crash and I don't remember the specifics as to why they weren't all killed, just glad they weren't. I can't remember how many survived (and again the circumstances of how they survived) but if I recall correctly they played a few games after the crash.

Educate yourself Freddie. There were two planes One crashed in a canyon. I respect you even though I disagree with you politically. 31 people died in that crash. If you are referring to the Wichita State crash. I hiked up there last year to see the crash field. The guts of the plane are still there. There are memorials placed there from survivors and relatives.
I have educated myself all I want to be educated about the crash. I remember the crash but I don't want to know anymore details about the crash than I already know. I distinctly remember two things. 1. Not everyone was killed-thank God, 2. the next game they played was against Arkansas, I don't remember how many weeks after the crash it was before they played Arkansas. Anyway, Arkansas won the game something like 60-0. Some of my friends and I were disgusted by the fact Arkansas won by such a large margin. We felt the Hogs should have not scored as many points out of respect to WSU because they were playing with such an undermanned squad. There were players on the WSU sideline that were on crutches simply to support their teammates.
On another note, see if you disagree with me after Bidden has been in office for a year. That bumbling piece of crap doesn't even know where he's at half the time.

It isn't mentioned as much. I guess since Marshall kept its program and WSU folded theirs about a decade later. USC did beat WSU really bad in the early 80s I believe when Willie Jeffries was there
Went to that game. I do not remember to much about the game except the final score in which South Carolina won 73-0.
