OT- looking for a good 32 inch Smart TV

We bought a Toshiba with Fire TV built in back in May for our guest room from Best Buy. It doesn't get a ton of use, but it's been good for when it has been.

I have bad luck with limited experience using smart TVs. Find the streaming devices, Roku, Apple TV, etc are far superior to the native streaming options on a smart TV.

Even if you get a Smart TV, add a streaming device (Roku, etc.) Smart TVs don't have every app and may not provide an option to download ones you want. Re the TV itself, I've had good luck with Vizio and like the one Hisense I have.

I have vizio, scepter, insignia and roku and like them all. The one thing my roku's will do the others wont is pause and rewind OTA signals. That may not matter to a lot of people, but I like it and it seperates roku from the rest imo.

I've purchased a couple of TCL Roku TV's and they are great - pretty much every app you can imagine to download. They even have the Comcast app that you can watch your Comcast account (recordings and all) on them without a box. It makes it an easy choice for me when getting a new tv for a room.

I now have 5 TCLs -- one in each bedroom and one in the kitchen -- and couldn't be happier. Built in Roku is fantastic. And you can't beat the price. Paid $299 for a 50" TCL Class 5 4K UHD in 2018 which is still stupid cheap by today's prices. FYI, here's a handy guide to what to buy based on TV size and viewing distance.
