I as scheduled to have my 2nd knee replacement Aug 1. It was a go as of Friday. Friday night I noted a toe looked infected so I started soaking it in epsom salt. after 5 X it was looking worse an I went to the ER In Columbia. They told me I had a serious looking diabetic ulcer on the bottom of the toe and it could rapidly get worse. I'm allergic to penicillin, so they put me on 2 antibiotics. The doc scared me with how fast that type of wound could go downhill and become gangrenous. toe is looking a little better today.
my knee replacement has been pushed out to the middle of Sept.
