Man that's rough. Climbing and jumping from cliffs and falls is fun but dangerous as hell. Had a friend get paralyzed doing something similar.

Very sad. I have hiked that trail many times way back in the day. They finally let the path grow over for that very reason.
When you are that age you just dont realize how dangerous places like that can be. I had a friend almost go over Rainbow falls. He was about 50 yards upstream and thats where you lose the river gravel and the slick granite is all you have to stand on. We had to find a long branch and he dove to grab it, pulled him to safety. It still gives me chills thinking about it. If he had failed to grab it he would have washed right over.
