Is in the works - set in the 60’s Jersey when racial tensions were high between Italians and Blacks - probably star Tony’s dad Johnny Boy , Uncle Junior, Tony’s mother and all that generation -can’t wait!

I LOVE this show. But I've gotta admit, without Gandolfini in it, they'll need some heavy hitters to really do it justice.
True. And I have to remind myself this isnt going to be "The Soprano's". It would be very cool if the prequel somehow gave a clue to what the ending meant. From what I read though, not sure that will happen. I was watching Godfather II last night- I didn't recognize previously that the actor that plays Uncle Junior is in the Godfather II. The Soprano's made a lot of nods to the GF, and Goodfella's. Of course tons of Goodfella's actors were in the Soprano's
Doesn't matter. With a good script and cast it could be great! Mob movies are my favorite genre!
Sounds like it could go either way. Considering HBOs track record, I expect it will go pretty good, but fan expectations will be through the roof.
We recently got Amazon prime so I started watching The Sopranos and Band of Brothers again. I hadn't seen either of them since they originally aired, so I had forgotten just how good those shows were. If the prequel is 75% as good as the original Sopranos, it will be worth watching.
Love those old shows...couple others to add "The Shield", Justified, "Deadwood"
Also check out the miniseries "Bosch", if you have read any Michael Connelly books you'll really enjoy this.
If you loved those shows check out Peaky Blinders on Netflix . It’s one of my favorite shows right now . Every season gets better and better .
Is David Chase involved with this one ?? That will make all the difference in the world . I heard a Son’s of Anarchy spin off is happening to . Can’t wait for that either !!
Supposedly the ending of the 'Soprano's' was being shown through Tony's eyes, so when it went black was at the time the Whitman edited the restroom and shot him in the head.
I loved that show.
Real odd band does that song- Alabama 3 - check them out. I like it a lot too
Theory out there too about when they are in the restaurant, and when Tony hears the bell ring when the door swings open, and if he is paying attention to who walks thru the door. Sometimes the bell rings when the door opens, sometimes not.
Yeah that’s what I heard . That could be really cool . I hope Alvarez is in it . He was a bad dude . Really miss me some SOA .
If Gandolfini hadn't died, the Soprano movie would not have been a prequel, IMO - not the first one anyway.
