Hey guys, I’m wanting to install a smart thermostat but I’m a little confused with the thermostat I have now. I’ve tried reading up online about what wires I’ll need and trying to find out what each wire is that I have and I’m having no luck. I tried a comparability tester on Honeywell’s site and didn’t have any luck their either. I know this is a long shot but I don’t want to call a HVAC guy unless I have to. Just want to see if y’all know anything.

I have a Trane 3AAT80B1A1 thermostat currently. The letters are the terminals and in parentheses are the color of the wire. None of my wires were labeled so that’s fun lol.

R (Red)
T (Brown)
O (Orange)
G (Green)
Y (Yellow)
X2 (Black)
B (Blue)
W (White)

That’s all the wires I have. I’ve read online that the B wire on this model is the C wire but I can’t confirm if that’s true or not. Any help would be appreciated or any people I could reach out to and maybe get answers would help! Thanks, sorry if this isn’t allowed but I figured I’d give it a shot and ask!
