A little over 10 years ago, I openly displayed my ignorance, on a public forum, by responding to a post with ... "Do you even know anyone who has ever been to a women's basketball game? AND Who Cares, anyway?"

I was wrong but I've been educated. There's much more to my apology but, that's tween me and the one who matters.

Annually, I recommend going to Wikipedia and reading Coach Staley's profile. We are blessed to be amid greatness. My personal heart squeezer was her election to be the U.S. flag bearer at the Olympic Games.

The popularity of Women's College Basketball today is mind blowing. It needs to be studied because the game itself is not high-quality basketball by any measure. Add to it the reality that the WNBA is close to a disaster and it leaves you scratching your head. If anyone has a theory, please pass it along.
