is not a scythe as the State Paper reports. The two sided battle ax was a common Medieval weapon. A scythe is a farming tool also used by the grim reaper.

Again...has anyone bothered to watch Brady's interview after the game? He explains that he and Wes had Halloween costumes, and this was one of the props. He may use the word scythe in the interview.
But really, is it that big of deal what the heck it's called? If it works, it works.
EDIT - They have both an axe and a scythe. There are pictures on the other thread about this.
