Our bullpen fails once again

Yeah, not being to score in the 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, and 11th innings had nothing to do with it.
But it does remind me of football. Bad defense, but an offense that makes a lot of mistakes and completely disappears when the game is on the line.
The "we scored this many point so it's on the defense if we lose" theory certainly doesn't apply in football. The offense can score points but still do plenty of things to make you lose the game.
42 points should have won every game we played last year.
It is defense fault in those games.
Or maybe you don't remember that squirt rb from Kentucky running the same play for 2 possessions and I think he had to be given oxygen and carried off the field at one point only to come back in 2 plays later and run the same play to score.
Glad we kno the offense should have stopped him. Thanks for the insight.
