Summit made 1.4 million in 2008-2009 and over 2 million in her final season, which was considerably more than Cuonzo Martin was making at the time.Originally posted by FORKCOCK:
If I'm not mistaken, she's making over $800,000.00 a year. Pat Summit was making $1,000,000.00.

Geno makes a lot more, and so do a few others. We need Dawn to be happy.Originally posted by fightingcock103:
She makes more than 6 times the highest paid WNBA player. I don't know what other women's coaches make in college, but I'm guessing she's already near the top. At the same time there is no way to justify her making less than Lorenzo Ward. But she made more than Tanner did right off the bat where both coached non-revenue/break even sports only he had taken his team further.
Dawn is earning her keep in attendance alone. Someone on GCC a few weeks ago said they attended a women's basketball game shortly after Dawn arrived at USC and he estimated the crowd to be about 75. Now, that is a heck of a long way from 75 to averaging over 12,000 plus per game.
But in all due respect, you can't compare a women's basketball coaches salary to a college baseball coaches salary. They are two different animals, apples and oranges.Originally posted by FORKCOCK:
You boys are missing my point.
She isn't being underpaid now. She's appreciated and I'm sure that she'll receive a nice raise for what she has accomplished. No doubt, she's one of the top 3 or 4 coaches in the country. We need to pay her well enough to keep her.
She's making more than Ray Tanner was after he won two national championships. I'm just saying that we're not treating her badly.
