A good friend of mine, Ashley Haynes, was diagnosed with breast cancer a few weeks ago at 31-years-old. Ashley, who started her first round of chemo last week, went to USC and still lives in Columbia. She's also one of the sweetest people you'll ever meet.
For those of you familiar with Jake's in Five Points, they hold a "Yappy Hour" every Tuesday and Thursday where those who come can bring their dogs with them.
Jake's has agreed to have a "percent night" night this Thursday (10/29) and a percentage of their profits will go to Ashley for healthcare costs. The folks from Yellow Dog BBQ are also running the kitchen at Jake's now, so there will be food.
So, if anyone in the Columbia area wants to come out, bring their pet, and hang out, maybe talk some football, we'd love to have you out ... and anyone from the board who comes out and introduces themselves to me, your first beverage is on me.
