Utah State coach Matt Wells is supposedly the leader right now to succeed Kliff Kingsbury as coach of the Texas Tech Red Raiders. Texas Tech fans are not happy. They assumed they would do better. KK lost his star freshman qb and it ruined the year. I can't imagine how Matt Wells will do better than Kingsbury has. Just a warning about frequent head coaching changes.

We're in no danger of changing frequently.

Yep that is not how we do business, right Ray?

You don't fire coaches until you are 1000% POSITIVE the guy you want will come to your school. That's how you end up with lateral moves like having to settle for a guy from Utah State who had one good year. Well, at least TT didn't waste a million freaking dollars on some search firm who returned a bunch of who's who in the idiot department like we did and we didn't even go with their suggestion anyways.

Yep. Texas should have kept Mack Brown

The Tech populace really thought the Boise State coach would leave Boise State for them.

Now that's bad. When a coach is fired a school needs to know who is available before firing said coach.

Well, the same could probably be said about message boards at every program in the country. Except, perhaps, Alabama.

Good lord, can you imagine the poor schmuck trying to fill Saban’s shoes (size 6.5 :)) when he retires? Talk about difficult, unrealistic expectations. Wow.
