POLL: Will we make the NIT?

I have to say no right now. They've started to emphasize taking mid-majors, and 17-16 is just barely on the bubble for it. We still need one more win, which will be tough playing our third game in as many days against a fresh Georgia team. The good news is we beat them with seven guys on their own floor, so it's still possible.

They need one more win to make it safe - otherwise just a bubble NIT team. Because of the way things have played out, there may be 4 NIT teams from the SEC in front of USC (which may or may not matter - not sure how the NIT selection committee looks at these things).

Vandy, Alabama, A&M and now, Ole Miss may come before USC in the NIT field. Of course it all depends on who gets in the NCAA, but I think if they win today - they're in for sure.

I agree with Flanders. Beat UGA and we get in. 18 wins would still have us on the bubble but I think we have enough quality wins to get us in. If UGA and Ole Miss get into the NCAA tournament we will have wins against at least 4 NCAA tournament teams.
