- We still haven't heard anything confirmable on the status of Derek Mason as of this afternoon.
- Still digging on the strength and coordinator position. I've been working the phones all morning and all last night on that front.
- We have heard that Mississippi State defensive coordinator Zach Arnett is someone to monitor for DC.
- Several folks have asked about Coastal Carolina DC Chad Staggs as it relates to the vacancy at DC in Columbia. We have checked repeatedly and so far, doesn't appear to be anything substantial cooking there.
- As we've passed along a couple times, former Gamecocks DC Travaris Robinson appears to be deep in the mix for a position on the staff at Florida. I also heard that, at Miami, Manny Diaz is eyeing more defensive changes and could also make a run at Robinson.
