Richard Sherman

Is he ready to coach at Bama
Allo
No, make me wonder what Sherman did that had his wife and kids hiding from him at his inlaws. Father in law had to pepper spray him and was ready to use a handgun if needed. Not something a father in law usually has to worry about with a Stanford grad that is a pillar of the community.

And I don't care what anybody "said". Driving drunk and attacking people and property is nothing but thug and there is ZERO excuse for it. Sorry, victim blaming isn't going to work with this one.

And you could take a video of my worst day, it is wouldn't ANYTHING like driving drunk to someones how and attacking them and their property. Your worse day may differ.
Your last little unnecessary shot about my worst day is what makes this board not be much fun anymore. This is not about me and I made no mention about what Richard Sherman's standing in the community was so I don't know where the little attitude is coming from. To personally attack me just for providing some perspective instead of just attacking the guy, like this board is prone to do, didn't project much class. You can disagree and maintain a level of class at the same time.

I hope he spends the rest of his life under the prison. Can’t stand the guy.
I don't think that will happen when he is charged with 5 misdemeanors. He probably won't serve another day especially when his wife came out in support of him. He will probably face the most exposure on the Resisting charge when the police had to sick the dogs on him. Law Enforcement and everyone involved showed great restraint here as Sherman could have easily gotten himself shot. I think, in this climate, that law enforcement should receive kudos when they use alternative forms of restraint and bring the subject in unharmed.

Because he kicked our butts up and down the field when he played at FL. Fair. But I don’t care for a lot of players who did similar things to our team. Now it doesn’t bother me bc our team is crap. But back then we were decent so I cared more.

The one caveat is if a player who beat us in college ends up playing for my NFL team. ie - Cam Newton. I couldn’t stand Cam in college but when he joined the Panthers, I supported him.
Auburn'$ method of recruiting Cam possibly cost USC a SEC championship.

But hey he played for the Panthers so he’s an ok guy. What an idiotic way of judging a person. People suck whether they play for your team or not. Sounds like you need to grow up and think for yourself.

I have no clue how to respond to this non sequitur.

You understood. You responded.
No, I really don’t understand and bc what you said doesn’t make any sense. You said “think for yourself” as if there are other people influencing my opinion of a player when I actuality I arrived at the conclusion on my own bc I like guys who can help my favorite teams win.

I initially didn’t like a guy bc he beat a team I cheer for but then as the situation changed (ie- he helped my pro team win), my opinion changed. It’s that simple. I cheer for guys who help my team win. Holding a grudge from college is dumb if that guy is now helping my pro team. If the Panthers would have lucked into the first pick and gotten Lawrence this year, guess what?- I’d cheer for him too.

Guess who else I really liked? - Thomas Davis. Even though he went to UGA, I was a big fan of his when he played for the Panthers.

An NFL team is going to made up of some players from rival schools that you may not have liked in college. Furthermore, there will be pro players who switch teams and a preference for that player will change. ie- I bet there were plenty of Bucs fans who didn’t care for Brady for one reason or another but now love the guy bc he got them a ring.

You formed an opinion. He’s a douche. But he’s ok when he’s drafted by the panthers. Your NFL team persuaded your opinion, which was originally correct.

That’s your opinion. I never thought he was a douche. So you’re still wrong.

And I actually wanted the Panthers to pick Cam so I like him enough even before he was on my favorite team. So again - you’re wrong.

But let take this exercise further…

anyone who cheers for a pro player who attended a different college or rival school “can’t think for themselves “? Is that your position? You only like players from USC on your favorite pro team?

LOL.

First, you tell me that I wouldn't be too proud of a video of my worst day being released. Then, when I say that my worst day is nowhere near as bad as Sherman's bad day but your worse day may differ, you somehow find that a personal attack that is classless and ruining the board.

And you weren't "providing some perspective". You were somehow trying to suggest that something the FIL said was at least partial to blame, even though there is ZERO evidence of that, and that his behavior was some kind a "I had a bad day" scenario that everyone experiences. Obviously, your idea of a bad day scenario and mine are quite different.

Dude, I didn’t tell you anything. It was a figure of speech if you know what that means. Everything is not about you or me. I can’t even remember if I replied to your post. If I did, I’ll pass next time as you take things far too personal.

If by ANY CHANCE this is Sherman's worst day, well. I'll be a Monkey's Uncle. This is only day he was "caught on camera" and reported..

Who are you talking to?

LOL. You were the one bitching about a "personal attack", not me.

You replied to me and said "If someone put out a video of your worst day" and I said my worst day wasn't anywhere near as bad, but your's may be different. If that upset you for some reason, it might be you taking things a bit too personal.

But you are right. It's not about my worst day or anybody else's worst day in order to make an excuse for his behavior. The video speaks for itself.

Sherman was a good player but always seemed like he had some mental challenges. You never knew who you were going to get when he was interviewed and he was apparently a wild man in the locker room at times.
