So I was talking with a guy this weekend about SC basketball and Seventh Woods came up in our discussion. Well apparently this guy was a coach for Woods at some point and he offered some insight to his recruiting. I was arguing that Woods was a program changer, he could start immediately, etc. This guy says we really never had a chance with Woods. He said Roy Williams went to Woods' home with a box of championship rings. I think the number he gave me was 29 rings. We were drinking some beers so I may be a little fuzzy on the number. Anyway, some of those rings belonged to Jordan. Basically he told Woods if he wanted to win Championships he needed to play at UNC. Take it for what it's worth and don't shoot the messenger.
