Why have Dawn and Frank failed to find players that are knock-down shooters? It's hard to complain about Dawn's success but this is the one area our players have been weak. If she had consistent 3 point shooters, the ladies game would be unstoppable.

Of course, Frank has never seemed to find, or even look for those guys. We always find those who are streaky at best. He seems to concentrate on athletes.

Haase said hello from his conference tourney. Did very well for Mercer from the outside and almost led them to the dance.

Frank values athleticism over shooting.

Athleticism is up. Skills are down, knowledge of the game is down - from high school to the pros. Shooters are valuable but they got to be able to contribute in other ways, too. And they have to be able to constantly get open, like Alford did. I don’t think there are as many shooters out there as people think. Well, shooters - maybe there are. But makers - not that many.
