True fans should be tired of a coach turning a national power into a national laughing stock and also-rans in our own state. Man, I thought football was frustrating.

Still a lot of baseball to be played. Teams can get hot at the drop of a hat. That's baseball. Think it would be due diligence to wait until the end of the season to have this discussion. But if that reasonable approach were to happen...what would some of the people who live on this board day and night do with their lives? Call it what you like...but "true fans"...decent human beings...don't trash other people by name when some adversity hits. They hope and cheer and support the team through thick and thin...and hope things get better.

Or they can bitch and moan on a message board. Yep...that for damn sure is gotta help make things better...no doubt.

Sorry but adversity isn't taking over the best program in the country and leading it to this point.

This is has been said already too many times, I agreed with the argument earlier in the year, but it stops being compelling around the 10th or 11th time.

So what are those that think this way going to be able to do about it?
Don't think the answers lie on this board with this crowd nor can many do anything about it.

I'm not sure...but I am pretty confident that the people who have any influence at the University Of South Carolina let people know how they feel in a different way behind the scenes privately. And if they truly have influence, then those who run the programs listen because of the way they go about letting them know what they think. They don't trash the teams on a message board I would guess. I don't know who posts on this message board. I don't know who gives what that come and posts here.

But like stated, people who have influence don't have to post crap on a message board. They go directly to the source because they can. So posting negative stuff on here for most is nothing more than "venting" in a negative or positive way that basically has no influence on anything except letting recruits know about the fan base's persona.

It does nothing to influence how things are run at the USC athletic dept. and does nothing to make things better. Kind of like people posting about other people need to stop posting negative crap has no influence on those who continue to do it. None of it is productive....but guess it might be a good outlet for some to tell others how they "feel." But IMO, might be more productive just to go to Walmart and buy a notebook and start "journalling" feelings about the way things are. Either way, nobody is likely to be listening.

Go discuss the situation with people who have "influence" then.

Nobody here is claiming to have the power to reprimand or fire Chad unless Ray or the BOT is secretly posting on the board tonight. People are frustrated so they're venting. It's a messageboard. Does the BOT keep opinions more close to vest than the average fan? Tell everyone something they don't know. Not seeing any correlation between fans complaining about an embarrassing loss and how "people of influence at Carolina" would act.

If I were a recruit I wouldn't want a fan base ok with losing nor would I worry about message board criticism because I'd be the freakin man destined to do great things. Any recruit worried about what a message board could say about them is probably a loser anyway.

Really? I don't know. I flunked fortune telling and I don't have a crystal ball to know what motivates a recruit nor will I impose what I think to be what they might think to justify being able to say whatever negative crap I want about other people. Just know IMO that's not a good look.

Headed to Walmart. Good night.

Yep, recruits flock to Alabama's football team and Kentucky's basketball team because the fans are so positive and uplifting both in person and on message boards... Tide Nation and the Wildcat club nary say a cross word no matter what their teams do- it is all rainbows and lollipops and cotton candy and kumbayas... no negativity. no criticism. zilch ... and that is why all the top players flock to those programs.

Forkcork.. the only reason the attendance looks way off is because of the frickin WEATHER. The two or three games that have had good weather, the stands have been mostly full. Last Sunday was the best day of the three game series, and there were the normal weekend crowd. BUT, because it was so chilly in the shaded areas, people left their seats in section 6 thru 17 because it was too cold to sit in the shade. TV doesn't show the thousands of people standing in the sunshine along first and third baseline. Behind home plate looked deserted because we moved to first base side to stand in the sun.

but guess what? they will still be on here bitchin and moaning and actually thinking that they are making a difference....only difference they are making is turning potential recruits away because who the hell wants to play for whiny ass fans like we have?

The thing that bothers me is when they really screw up nobody seems upset. Team seems to have no spirit of fight.
