SOS still in attack mode, sic em…

Here ya go: He was. a hell of a coach. Won a conference title at Duke. Owned UGA during his Florida years. Won at SC when no one really thought he could. I'd never deny the man's ability to coach or accomplishments. None of that changes the fact that he quit on a team he knew wasn't going to win. And that also says something about him.
You come to this thread with a biased view. I don't care about UGA fans view about Spurrier. It means about as much as me going to the clemmy board to chime in with my opinion about Pablo Weenie.

Easy.....Jim Carlen. The only coach I believe we've had that loved USC as much as the fans did and appeared to be on the way to actually be building a program before his run-in with Holderman.
Carlin, no doubt, was better than most of our former coaches. He got a raw deal.
Spurrier didn't need this job, but he took it, and stayed with it. He accumulated more wins than any coach before him.

Sure you care. You care enough to read my post, formulate an opinion what you've read, then type a response. You care. Of course I'm biased against Spurrier. You know who else was biased? SC fans. Then he became the greatest coach in SC's history. I give Spurrier his due, but the facts about his departure from SC are what they are.

Depends on the situation. For instance I do not believe a 2 lose sec team gets in over a one loss Clemson vs a 2 loss sec. I’m not a Clemson fan just calling it how I see it.
like with this years clemson schedule, saw they lose their opener to UGA, there next toughest game would be either us or NC State, no way theyd let clemson in after losing to georgia and winning out. Their schedule is just to easy. they arent playing ND or UNC. But as per usual, id probably be wrong an theyd get in

I’m not so sure about that. They get a big bump with the eye test. Especially if it’s a close game. I’m just not sure they get left out. I hope so just don’t see it

It's easy to pass the eye test in the ACC when you're Clemson. I mean, if Dutch Fork played a middle school, they'd pass the eye test too lol.

I think a lot are still bitter that we didn’t capitalize on that run of success that has always evaded us otherwise. It, like basketball a few years back, was allowed to evaporate like a fart in the wind. We were allowed to reach out and touch it for far too short a time.
And we all know that type of success may never appear again in our lifetimes. Just as much chance it doesn’t as it does.
