You know what? U of SC was close to having this. Spurrier had the program in the top 5 nationally for several years straight. Then he got lazy. Then he didn’t care. Then he quit recruiting. Instead of seizing the opportunity to build the program, he took the opportunity to play a round of golf. What happened next- he quits, right in the middle of the season. Then, a huge poster is put up of him and he is worshipped and celebrated like some savior when the truth is he left everyone hanging high and dry. Don’t be mad because someone else worked harder and cared more than Spurrier did at building a consistent program. Top players want to play for winners
I felt like he gave up after not being able to win the conference with his best team. To get to that next step, it was going to take more work than he wanted. He was ready to leave, but tanner talked him into staying longer than he wanted.
BINGO....should have let him leave and turn it over at the apex. But I decided to not put down SOS, he had it rolling and it was up to the AD to protect the program.
Guess that’s why top players don’t play for muschamp... he’s never won anything
I just don’t buy that these kids from Cali etc want to go to Clemson. SC because of Dabo. The winning helps, but where it stinks there’s shit.
Did clempson get banned from a bowl game and TV FOR 3 YEARS BY THE NCAA FOR PAYING FOOTBALL PLAYERS? Do they have a history of egregious cheating?

Congratulations. You guys are putting together a pretty good recruiting class.
Wake and BC were bowl teams last year, we played worse.
Has nothing to do with Dabo. All these California kids are surfers and they have always heard about Beach Music, 'The Shag' and The Grand Strand being the greatest beach on the East Coast and just wanna see it for themselves.
The same example as Ole Miss hiring Kiffen. The program tasted success recently albeit illegally. But they didn’t hire Kiffen because he’s squeaky clean. They just want to be winning again.
But unlike Ole Miss, Clemson (if they did or they didn’t cheat) doesn’t have to do it now that their program is rolling.
Coach Spurrier knew how to spank that orange tater ass. He made a habit out of it. Best coach in our programs history.
UGA got 2 of the top 20 kids out of California...must be something going on there too
Maybe Dabo takes the recruits Cow-Tipping... I'm sure they don't do that in California. Hell he probably brings meth head Venebales along too.... I could see him getting a hernia tipping cows ...Kids eat it up.... Then Dabo shows them how to become honorable men.
