Simple answer for the foul difference and our good shooting tonight- we play D, most teams don’t. Well, certainly not the way Martin tries to play it... physical in your face D creates more fouls.

I've often said that our FF run was a result of the tournament refs allowing us to play our D. Duke was completely unprepared for it and as a result was caught off guard. To me, it highlighted just how awful SEC refs are.

8 fouls on A&M is pretty unbelievable. Yes, we were shooting jump shots, but there was a lot of action on rebounds and very little was called on A&M.

Yeah, that officiating can't be spun. About 2/3 of the way thru Cousinard drove and TWO A&M guys had hands on his arms as he was going up, about like pass interference in football, with no whistle; even the announcers chuckled at that one. I was actually wanting him to crawl a ref's behind, but I credit Martin for holding it together as long as he did.

Maybe the philosophy is: if all 5 players foul at once they can only call one.

We do get more fouls called because our team plays defense. I like it.
