That sure helped us when we were beating Clemson five years in a row.It will make you better in comparison to schools not in the SEC.

PSU is not going to leave the B1G period....they simply aren't that dumb. VaTech is also kind of locked in after all the political pull the State of Virginia used to get them into the ACC when the Big East was collapsing.I'd like to see them add maybe like OKSU/PSU and VT as well then make 18 teams. Either two 9 team divisions. 8 in division games, 2 out of division games, 2 OOC games. Could make a case for 3 out of division games and 1 OOC. Home and home for out of division games. That makes every 6-8 years would go through the whole gamut. Or don't do home and homes and rotate the out of division games every year. The next cycle, swap it from the last time they met. Tons of big match-ups and exciting football every year.
A boy can dream, alright?PSU is not going to leave the B1G period....they simply aren't that dumb. VaTech is also kind of locked in after all the political pull the State of Virginia used to get them into the ACC when the Big East was collapsing.
I guess the only entity I feel for in all this is A&M. I hate Texas now and always have. I'll hate them when they are in the league. A&M was making great strides as the only SEC team in Texas. I hate to see them have the rug pulled out from under them when they embraced the SEC so freely.PSU is not going to leave the B1G period....they simply aren't that dumb. They are an AAU university, so the B1G is not out of reach for them and the SEC has no buyout requirements. Just thinking deviously.I guess the only entity I feel for in all this is A&M. Sue over what? There is no contractual violation by the SEC. They can talk to other schools about joining. Then each school votes. A&M will get to vote just like every other school. All they can do is to threaten to leave the SEC, which they would never do. The SEC hands out too much money to the schools for them to leave. What, would they go to the ACC and lose $30 or $40 million a year just because they are mad? Nope. In the end, even the higher ups at A&M want Texas in the SEC. They know the increase in revenue it will bring. They will act mad, just to appease the fans, but more money is more money. It's like the politicians that say one thing in public because the voters want to hear it, but then in private, they don't really do anything. If true that the whole thing was done behind A&M back. They should sue. What if the SEC did us that way with clemson ? Again if true
I've had the same thought. I remember the time they tried to hire Bo Schembechler to come down there as coach. Those people travel in big numbers. We've seen evidence of it when they come to Columbia. I'm sure they would continue traveling, but the culture would be different and the traveling would be farther. We really don't want to lose Texas A&M and I would hate to see them leave the SEC. And in fact, the farther along this thing goes, the more I would rather see this thing collapse than to lose them from the conference. Problem is, SOMETHING is going to happen and I don't want to see the SEC come out anyplace other than on top when all the chips fall. They are an AAU university, so the B1G is not out of reach for them and the SEC has no buyout requirements.
