Wow you need some serious help if you judge everyone by their team or school allegiance and pick who you associate with by that allegiance. I dont give a crap if the guy walks around my house talking trash about my coaches while wearing a "I hate Clemson" shirt if hes the best in my area at what im paying him to do and he does the job correctly.
I also have a ton of Carolina loving friends who I would do anything for and would do the same for me. I also know some Clemson fans I cant stand to be around. Each person gets a fair shake from me no matter who they "pull" for.
Take your "I love me some Gamecock friends" elsewhere Tater. I am not buying your lies and wish you would stay on your board. IF you really are such a swell guy and never judge people by whom they pull for, then good for you. There are very few Taters like you, unfortunately. I tried to be open minded about KKKlemsux fans but it is just not possible. Here's the deal for me - -and I know it is true for many Taters also - unless I am in a coma and can't make the choice I do no business with openly known Taters. My money, my choice. Like I said if you wanna be that closed minded then thats your choice. Most on this board who have conversed with me know I am pretty straight forward about how I feel on all things Clemson. This is a typical tater attitude...on this board, tater boards and even many I know are this way in person. You show up on the board acting chummy and friendly, claiming to be "straight" or rational and not a fringe fanatic, "I come in peace" realistic type poster. But the minute you get into a thread and someone crosses you, you tell them you're getting the last word, stomp your feet and make state your case them try to smooth it over with other posters. If you were "straight" as you claim you are you could just not respond to "fringe" or unfriendly posters. You are on their turf, after all.

Ok then if it makes you feel better I will reply so you dont think I am trying to "take my ball and go home". Fact is most on this board will tell you they dont like Clemson or anything about it but they have various Clemson friends or know "ok" Clemson people. All that I am completely fine with. Fact is I dont like SC in athletics and I have no issues admitting that but I TRY to keep it civil as much as possible. Maybe it just rubbed me the wrong way with he said he didnt do business with anyone who was a known Clemson fan or associate with any Clemson fans. I just found that totally unrealistic and stupid to be quite honest and that opinion had nothing to do with me being a Clemson fan. I would say the same to any Clemson fan who refused to deal with someone because they liked South Carolina. If saying all that is your idea of me showing my true colors then so be it. Think what you want.

Not sure if you can say we're in their heads, they have that unusual and unnatural talent of closing their minds to everyone and everything realistic about them. It's some phobia or syndrome that escapes me at the moment...but they define it. Their affinity to the cult-like atmosphere you mentioned earlier is perplexing yet interesting...in a sick sort of way...as the tater demonstrated. I do have tater friends that are good people, but even they have the same characteristics when it comes to CU sports. I've never met one that can deal with reality when it comes to athletics.
BTW, does Jackleg still have Omaha on their hats?

Bigger: We are in their heads alright. The Tigers I know have been through he!!! the last few years as we dominated them in every sport except MBB. Their recruiting revival is a direct result of losing 5 in a row in football to us. I still believe we will beat them because our team plays tougher competition week in, week out, but I am convinced they judge the success of their season solely by whether they beat USC or not. I grew up in Columbia and graduated from USC and then spent 40 years working all around the country. Now that I am back in Columbia I am free to choose who I associate with and I choose to avoid Tigers. Are there good Tigers out there? Perhaps, but who cares. As a group, they are obnoxious and treat USC graduates as second rate citizens. Who needs that? I can truly say that I have meet KKKlemsux graduates all around the country and never liked any of them. I lived in Pittsburgh for 25 years and as you might know Pitt is now part of the ACC. I told all my Pitt friends that they would hate the Clemson fans, but no one believed me at the time. Now, I am proud to say, they hold the fighting Tillman's in about the same esteem as they have for Penn State.
