The other ball teams

The baseball team has started out 3-0. The Softball team is 10-0.
I heard some people complain about these coaches being hired. People questioning Ray Tanner.

Seems like both new coaches have put together a couple good teams.

I know they both brought in some really good players from the Portal. And they both talked about turning these into winning programs. Well they sure have started right.

Baseball results, they may not mean a lot to some, but Sacred Heart had a very good team last season. The end of this month they get to take on Clemson. I hope they are 9-0 then and end up 12-0. Then we will know how good this team may be.

Softball results, they were able to beat some decent teams. They had six shutouts and six run-rule victories. Nine times this season Carolina has scored five or more runs. Through the first two weeks they are outscoring their opponents 81-13. They play UNC this afternoon.

Maybe Ray Tanner knew what he was doing when he hired them.

I dont see how anyone can have anything other than respect for both coaches. I will say good to see the baseball team able to use some of the bench a few times this past weekend showing a little depth at the plate. Always fun to watch guys get their first college hit and the likes. Should be fun ooc. In conference where the rubber hits the road... well we will see. Even Ray has said we have a lot of work to do based on what he has seen. I think .500 in conference would be pretty good year at this point but that's still a tough row to hoe. Gotta say I'm at the very least confident that when players get a little out of wack (and they will), the staff will know how to address them. Personally I haven't had that kind of confidence in us in a long time.
