Ray Tanner can come out and say he has an overwhelming burning desire to get back into coaching baseball. He can say he misses coaching so bad that he craves being head coach of the Gamecocks again ( saving face). He can take over next year and put Holbrook back as an assistant where he belongs. At that point Pastides can go get Eric Hyman to pick up where he left off here and did very well as AD. Then you could have the best of both worlds. Also I believe he could get Frank what he needs and wants to keep him here for a long long time. As well as keep an eye on Muschamp to make sure that was a good hire after all.
