This lets me know IT CAN ve done at Carolina!

Exactly join em! We all know how they got where they are...we have the blueprint. Heck we were almost there just a few years ago. Only problem was our head coach didn't like to recruit.

If you guys are dead serious about joining them then we need to stop with these bs 6 game suspensions and other ticky tack stuff. Toss the rule book out the window.

But Dabo is a clown, and can't coach remember.
  • Oh, I don't think his is a particularly good position coach. Doubt he could come up with a successful game plan. But, and its a huge BUT, he is one heckuva CEO type coach. He absolutely knows how to sell his program and sells the hell out of it unapologetically....sells it in such a way that recruits love it....and has built it win by win, then season by season.

Anyone that thinks it can't be done here needs to go the fark away......Miss St, and Ole Miss were close not long ago, and we finished what....4th...? Four years ago..? It takes hard work, and a coach that can sell the program. ......and a program changing QB....Kudos for whoever recruited Deshawn......Connor was almost that guy for us.

Actually Connor wasn't that guy. He was an above average passer that could run. In order for USC to compete we need that program changing QB. Jake Bentley is a good start. He is an upgrade from any of the Qb's that Spurrier had signed.

Connor may have been the guy with the talent the Taters put around DeShawn. ...His Senior year he threw what .....?....1 pick..? It's all just conjecture at this point. My point is that we were damn close ourselves, and we can do it also.

Let's be clear.....1981 was much easier.......They were dynasty killers here. I'm a USC grad from 91, and I hate it. It us what it is. Running from it is not the correct answer.

We are nowhere near that level. It would take at least a decade to even think about it. Clemson and Alabama are light years ahead.

Like I said earlier, enjoy our football.
Don't let this take away from enjoying the Gamecocks.
The truth is I will probably never live long enough to see us win the National Championship. So I can stop watching it or just enjoy it. I think I'll just enjoy it.

The problem I saw is that even during our 11 win seasons,, we still couldn't beat the big boys and finish teams off. We went to LSU and lost, we inexplicably lost to TENN, and we lost to an Auburn team we were better than (not the NC year). We have been competitive, and won 11 games, but never really reached the summit

It will never happen here until this good ole boy system - where we hire buddies and refuse to get rid of sorry coaches and put up with and even celebrate mediocrity - is eradicated.

We have all the resources needed. Just need to start convincing 5 stars to come here..same way Clemson did. Glad Wolford is back!

No. We don't. We don't have the win at all costs or else type of boosters that are needed to get it done. Also don't have the board of trustees & school administration that'll adopt this philosophy. After 100+ years, we're not changing.

This is where Dabo is dangerous . He has everyone thinking he can't coach a lick. That's the reason he likes the underdog role. Until people start realizing he can coach and take him serious he will keep wining.

Our offensive lines were not that good when we had 11 win seasons. Connor Shaw bailed us out on many occasions. Heck, our last win against Clemson, I remember we could not run the ball against them it was only Shaw running over and over that got us the win.

I love my Alma mater. I'd like to blindly support, but find myself questioning if we're on the right path. I hope for our sake, we are. Truth be told, it'll take yearly progress and won't happen overnight. Hopefully we don't find ourselves in two years realizing we've made little to no progress. It starts with recruiting. The key is starting to convince top rated recruits to come play for us, and building upon that momentum. I'm on the bus, eager to feel the momentum. Forever to Thee!

We need better leadership and a full-time commitment to winning big. Ray sent a strong message by hiring Muschamp that we aren't committed to winning championships.
Dang, cock Hudson has gone from using regular movie characters to pornstars. Kinda hardcore right derr!
