any first hand accounts of the game? Any interesting things that you observed from the quempsum fans? Did you have to slap any of the quempsum fans to bring them to their senses?

I slapped a couple of clempson fans. Didn't have to but just did it for the fun of it. n/r.

I thought Leggett was going to have a stroke when they didn't score in the 7th with bases loaded and no outs. He beat both hands on the ground when we turned the DP. That also was the time a lot of Clemson fans started leaving. Other than that all the Clemson fans I saw acted fine.

Freddie, i can tell u that the beer was flowin' like water @ akc's table...

i mean beer was everywhere all over the floor the table.! AND who of all people were helpin' him, but big brother cocksman, snotty peed, rooster louie & 2 others (forgive for not pickin' up their handles), but i really believe they were leadin' these 2 cocks down the road of sin..

as far as the fans go the necks seemed pretty well behaved. the 2 bases loaded karma innings came back 2 hurt them worse than it did us last night. Not a run scored. And the 2nd time they were drunk w/ no outs! gawd a hate when that happens to them:)

had a little pregame late running tailgater which prevented me from gettin' down 2c bat, but saw her n usual spot.

Man, I wish I could have went, (I was in the doctor's office around 11:00 AM for a cold) would have loved to have seen all of the guys and girls, too. Gosh, every year I say I'm going but something happens. Well, next year if I'm still on this side of the green grass I'm going. The one time I did make it the game was called because of rain. I remembered seeing you there for that particular game.

Wow! Now, that really makes me feel bad, the heck with a cold. Gosh, there is nothing I enjoy better than being around Gamecock fans.

i would bet we had more than 2500 there......reserve tickets are split even. private boxes are corp & we all know who turns out the biz majors....walk ups (hill & standin' room) are open 2 public.

I remember the first time we played the taters at Fluor Field... 2010. Sun-drenched, warm (70's) day!! Street carnival. Interactive games for the whole family. Former coaches June Raines & the late Bill Wilhelm sitting together at a table greeting fans...long line there, too!! Few thousand of us went thinking we could get a ticket. 3+ hours later & most of us had "struck out". Couldn't find a spare duckett anywhere!! Only game we won in that series. They beat us in tatertown the night before & brutalized us something like 19-6 on our own field that Sunday!! Fire Tanner!!! Fire Calvi!!! Of course, we all know the rest of the story from that season!! (-;

I had to eat a ticket. I think they sold more than they have in the past. The stadium was packed.

It was cold; bone chilling cold. The sun had already passed over the field by the start of the game and the only fans who received any sunlight were those standing along the outfield lines. Folks sitting in the box seats were in the shadows. The cold and a biting wind drove lots of fans out of the box seats behind home plate. By the end of the fifth inning, lots of fans had left the park - or moved to a spot where they could catch some sun - especially the Clemson fans.

Pregame activities was not near as good in the past. The drive moved it to the back side of the stadium. We were in GA seating area but landed in a nice sunny spot. So the weather wasn't to bad. The tater fans were amped up early until we scored the 3 runs. They went quiet until bases loaded and no outs but after the double play they started leaving. One of the biggest cheers came after jack leg fielded a foul ball. I am sure it made Jacks day too. Jack doesn't just coach 3rd base, he plays it like its a real position. Ohh and pregame the taters all gathered in the left field to stretched. Then some hillbilly dressed in shorts carrying a sledge hammer joined them. The team gathered around and made the same noise/chant the football HS coach in Charleston got fired for last year, The hillbilly had a bald meat head and then a tater player did some ritual thing and he slapped the meat head . It was pretty strange .
