** South Carolina head coach Shane Beamer will be in his office and watching film this morning before making the short trek over to Benedict to take in the 4A State Championship game between Beaufort and South Pointe, which is led by former South Carolina standout (and one of Beamer's former players) DeVonte Holloman.
Marcus Satterfield and Justin Stepp are also expected at that game.
** South Carolina defensive coordinator Clayton White will conduct a key in-home visit tonight as he travels to Mississippi to meet with linebacker target Stone Blanton. The Gamecocks have given the Mississippi State baseball commit plenty to think about as he was back in Columbia for the Clemson game and his recruitment has essentially gone the distance with Carolina in the mix.
** Justin Stepp was in the upstate on Wednesday when he checked in on Dorman High and Greenville High.
The Gamecocks are a major factor with class of 2023 four-star OL Markee Anderson and he's been on campus many times since recruiting re-opened in June.
Greenville is of course the home of class of 2024 wide receiver Mazeo Bennett. The Gamecocks offered Bennett when he visited for the Troy game and he's been back a couple of times since. He's a future four-star in my opinion and the competition will ultimately bump up here but Stepp getting an early start could pay off in the long run.
Greenville is also home to class of 2022 QB Pro Franklin, who has been at multiple Carolina games this season.
Today, Stepp is scheduled to visit South Carolina WR commit Kylic Horton for an in-school visit before shooting back to Columbia for tonight's 4A State Championship.
** After the in-home visit with Ryan Brubaker last night, offensive line coach Greg Adkins will remain in the northeast, checking in on the Maryland/DC area.
Adkins is scheduled to hit McDonogh, Good Counsel, St. John's College and Gonzaga College today.
St. John's is home to 2023 three-star DB Zahbari Sandy who recently visited Columbia and landed an offer from the Gamecocks.
The Gamecocks have offers out to McDonogh class of 2023 four-star DE Mason Robinson and 2023 three-star OL Antonio Tripp and Gonzaga class of 2023 three-star OL Evan Link.
** South Carolina running backs coach Montario Hardesty will continue to hit his Virginia territory today including checking in on Stafford (Va.) Mountain View 2023 three-star RB Ike Daniels, who we've told you has emerged as a major target for Carolina. Mountain View also has a 2023 three-star OL named Nolan McConnell.
Hardesty is also scheduled to check in on North Stafford, Colonial Forge, Riverbend and King George.
** Tight ends coach Erik Kimrey will continue to hit his Georgia territory with a key stop set for Brookwood High where Kimrey will catch up with his former teammate, head coach Philip Jones, and will check in on 2023 four-star QB target Dylan Lonergan.
Lonergan, who was at the Clemson game Saturday, has emerged as Carolina's top QB target in that class.
Kimrey is also scheduled to check in on Johns Creek and Norcross before heading back to Columbia for tonight's 4A game.
Norcross is home to 2023 three-star tight end Lawson Luckie, who the Gamecocks are targeting, and 2023 three-star WR Nakai Poole.
Johns Creek is home to 2024 four-star EDGE Alex Cunningham, who gained an offer from the Gamecocks during one of their OL/DL camps this summer.
** Jimmy Lindsey will also be in Georgia where he will conduct an in-school visit with DL commit Felix Hixon and later an in-home visit with EDGE commit Donovan Westmoreland.
Lindsey is also scheduled to check in on Langston Hughes, Woodward Academy and Griffin HS.
Class of 2023 three-star TE Jelani Thurman is at Langston Hughes while Woodward has 2024 four-star LB Andrew Hines, who doesn't have a Gamecocks offer yet but was at the Clemson game and had a great time.
** Defensive ends and outside linebackers coach Mike Peterson will join Lindsey at Donovan Westmoreland's in-home visit tonight.
Prior to that, Peterson is scheduled to be at Hapeville Charter, Westlake, Cedar Grove and Griffin High Schools.
The Gamecocks have offers out to 2024 four-star DB Avieon Terrell and 2024 four-star WR Cayden Lee at Westlake.
** Torrian Gray, who is spending most of the week mining his Florida territories, remains in the Sunshine State and is set to conduct an in-home visit with DB commitment Kajuan Banks tonight.
Gray is also set to hit John Paul II, Florida State HS, Rickards, North Florida Christian, and Gadsden County.
Among those schools, the Gamecocks are listed as having offers out to 2023 four-star DBs Cameron Upshaw Jr. and Makari Vickers.
** Pete Lembo continues to hit the northeast and today he'll be in NYC and New Jersey.
That includes stops at Seton Hall, Irvington, St. Peter's Prep, Christ the King and Iona Prep.
The Gamecocks have offers out to 2024 four-star DB Ellis Robinson and 2023 DT Tyriq Blanding.
