Didn't watch all the game, but I thought the SC QB play was way off. Spurrier has always been about 'pass to space' schemer and I don't see that anymore with SC. Especially with gamer like Cooper.
I do get the sense that Spurrier is kinda sleepwalking through the last years of his career. Whereas once he was the innovator, now the spread offenses have eclipsed the offensive production of his fun-and-gun approach. Defenses once geared to run-stop and facing Spurrier offenses were overwhelmed; speed defenses geared to defend the spread negate Spurrier.
