** Tight end Hayden Hurst is listed by USC as participating in senior day festivities but says he's not ready to announce a decision on if he's coming back. Hurst will sit down with his parents and make a decision and then announce it after the season.

** T.J. Brunson says the last option team he faced was Spring Valley in high school. The scheme is similar but a lot faster at the college level. Brunson says it's all about sticking to your keys and finding a way to get off the field on third downs.

** Bryan Edwards says that the offense has to be efficient Saturday because they know they may only get a limited number of possessions. Wofford's defense works hand-in-hand with their offense in that they try to keep everything in front and make you grind out long drives that take up time and shorten the game.

Edwards says the guys don't have to be reminded about The Citadel loss, because they have to live it all the time.

** As much as there is talk about the different offensive scheme, the defensive scheme is different too. Donell Stanley says they run a lot of "odd fronts" - something USC has faced against a couple of other opponents this year - but that they move guys around and try to confuse you up front.

** Taylor Stallworth said this week the defensive line is practicing how to deal with cut blocks more preparing for Wofford’s triple option offense. He said it’s been annoying to deal with but it’ll help the team come Saturday.

** Jacob August said he prides himself on his blocking and that’s what’s getting him on the field after starting as a walk-on. He had two big blocks on Mon Denson’s second touchdown run against Florida.

** Stallworth said defensively it’s about making sure the defensive line stays in its gaps and doesn’t get sucked into tracking the ball and play out of position. If that happens, then it could result in a big play.

** Skai Moore said this week has been more focused than the last time the Gamecocks played a triple option team in the Citadel two seasons ago. Stallworth called that loss “embarrassing” and Hurst said Muschamp’s brought it up this week in meetings.

** Hurst said the offense is really close to putting a complete game on tape and it starts with just getting Jake Bentley more comfortable.

** All of the players are asked if there's any focus at all on Clemson this week - all of them say "no."

Jake Bentley at the podium now...

** Much like mentioned above, Wofford's defense plays complementary to their offense and tries to keep everything in front, limit possessions and keep the clock running. Have to be methodical on offense and execute and be efficient. Bentley says can't try to press too much, just take what they give you.

** One of the first things Muschamp said in the meeting today was that he didn't want to hear a word about next week. The team leaders have to impress that upon the rest of the team. The upperclassmen were here for the loss to The Citadel. Have to treat this like any other week of the season.

** Bentley says he has to just move on from the interceptions. Roper went through the plays with him after and said its a lot easier to learn when you still win. Second pick, he should have looked off the safety before throwing it. Have to "sign the check on every throw" meaning don't release it unless you're sure about it.

** Roper is hard on the quarterbacks on the field. He demands that they have a plan every time they go on the field. Off the field, he's someone that really cares about them. That's all the coaches. It's not just about football. Brings his kids by the stadium. It's a family atmosphere. Roper started something this offseason of every offensive player telling "their story" and a hardship they've dealt with and who their heroes are.
